We hope you’ve recovered from feasting on all of the soup and the brisket and the latkes and those soft and gooey jelly doughnuts too!
Now it’s time to drink some beer.
We wouldn’t take up this space discussing any old ale or stout. No sir. We’re talking about the Shmaltz Brewing Company, home to the He’Brew label, whose motto says it all: Dedicated to Crafting Delicious Beer and Delicious Shtick.
Hello…you had us at beer.
Of course, we are big fans of the He’Brew beers. Both the Genesis Ale – “The Chosen Beer” and the Messiah Bold – “The One You’ve Been Waiting For” are winners and are widely distributed throughout the country.
Founder Jeremy Cowan has now written a book, Craft Beer Bar-Mitzvah, a small business memoir subtitled, “How It Took 13 Years, Extreme Jewish Brewing, and Circus Sideshow Freaks to Make Shmaltz Brewing Company an International Success.”
Cowan will be in town on Monday, December 13th at our favorite DC tavern, Star and Shamrock for a book reading and signing event at a party called the “Hanukkah Hangover.”
Hope to see you there!
